The 'Protecting Our Planet' Ocean session is now available to watch, featuring NEODAAS' Senior Research Software Engineer, Dr Dan Clewley, and Lecturer in Marine Science (Remote Sensing) at the University of Plymouth and former NEODAAS staff, Dr Lauren Biermann.

The Protecting Our Planet event was held in November 2023 and was a live-streamed event for schools organised by the UK Space Education Office (ESERO-UK) at STEM Learning, in collaboration with the European Space Agency and the UK Space Agency.

The Protecting Our Ocean session covers using Earth observation methods and satellite data to detect floating objects on the ocean surface, such as marine plastic debris.
